Natalie Winkler

My family and I have lived in Calgary’s Ward 8 for almost 20 years. We chose to live in Calgary's inner city because it offers the best of both worlds; quick access to vibrant businesses and access to nature. Calgary’s Ward 8 strikes the perfect balance between urban centre and natural beauty. I think it is the best place to live and I want to give back. For the last several years I heard concerns from residents and businesses that they were not being listened to.

I want you to know that I am listening.

Born in Vancouver, I moved to Calgary to attend Law School. I graduated from the University of Calgary in 2005 and I was called to the Bar in 2006. After my first year of law school I lived in Manitoba for several months and assisted Residential School survivors with their claims. I was called to the practice of law because I simply wanted to help people find their voices and be treated fairly.

Prior to law, I worked as a journalist and obtained my Bachelor of Journalism with highest honors from Carleton University in Ottawa.

I am married to a lifelong Calgarian and together we have an amazing son and a friendly golden retriever.

As a family, we can often be found making use of Calgary’s many parks and pathways on a regular basis.

Please feel free to email me with your questions and concerns.

Thank you.
